Abstract:Teoretična izhodišča: Sistem nujne medicinske pomoči (NMP) je ključen del zdravstvenega varstva, saj omogoča hitro in učinkovito ukrepanje v življenjsko ogrožajočih situacijah. Podatki so bili analizirani z uporabo deskriptivne statistike in tematske analize odprtih odgovorov.

Title:Standardization of the Educatonal System to Improve the Quality of Work of Employees in Emergency Medical Care Before Employment
Abstract:Theoretical Background: The emergency medical services (EMS) system is a key part of healthcare, as it enables rapid and effective response in life-threatening situations. In Slovenia, the EMS internship system is not uniformly structured, which can lead to differences in employee qualifications. Compared to other countries, especially Germany and Great Britain, where standardized and well-structured educational models have been established, there is room for improvement in Slovenian context as well. Methods: The research is based on quantitative methodology. Data were collected by survey on a sample of 88 participants, including EMS employees, professional firefighters, mentors and trainees. The data were analysed using descriptive statistics and thematic analysis of open-ended responses. Results: The participants assessed the current internship system on average as partially effective in preparing for independent work. Their answers indicate that the existing system does not provide enough structured practical work, guided training and active inclusion of trainees in the clinical environment. The vast majority supports the implementation of a unified education system. Discussion: The high level of support for the implementation of a unified system indicates that the participants support changes of the Slovenian system. For them, an effective educational system means a unified, structured and practically oriented program based on simulations of real situations and other forms of experiential learning, together with quality mentoring. They perceive a unified system as having predominantly positive effects on the quality of their work, reducing errors at work and improving the reputation of the profession.
