Uporabili smo kvalitativni raziskovalni pristop z deskriptivno metodo dela.

Naslov:NURSING CARE OF A PATIENT AFTER TYMPANOPLASTY
Opis:Introduction: Tympanoplasty is a surgical intervention in the middle ear, more precisely on the eardrum, which can be achieved with several approaches. The best approach is determined by the patient and the doctor after preliminary processing of anamnestic data, based on a clinical examination and the desired result of the surgery. The ear is a delicate organ, and since it is difficult for the operator to see small structures with the naked eye, he uses a microscope and an endoscope to help him in with his work. Surgical interventions can be elective, which means that the nurse has more time and the opportunity to prepare the patient more precisely for the operation, at the same time the patient also has more opportunities to be better informed, such possible complications, post-operative instructions, how the procedure will take place, etc. However, interventions may be urgent, in which the patient's life may be at risk, so it is necessary to act quickly and accurately, but nevertheless it is necessary to inform the patient and leave him the option of making a decision. Methods: We included 6 health workers in the research with a prerequisite, a minimum of 1 year of work experience in the field of otorhinolaryngology, using a qualitative research approach with a descriptive work method. We conducted a semi-structured interview with a pre-prepared question proposal, which has been compiled based on a preliminary review of both domestic and foreign scientific and professional literature, some of which we found through the international databases PubMed, Cobbis, Google Scholar, CINAHL and MEDLINE. After reviewing the literature, we conducted a semi-structured interview, within which we took into account all ethical research principles in all phases of research. We analyzed the obtained data quantitatively, classified the answers of the interviewees into tables, classified the data into individual codes and interpreted them. Results: Participants in the research were nurses who have been working in the field of otolaryngology for at least 1 year. We found that the interviewees recognize complications after tympanoplasty, they know the interventions that they must implement after identifying complications and how to prevent complications, and at the same time, they also know the instructions that need to be given to the patient so that he can actively participate in the nursing process. Interviewees also know how the care of the patient after tympanoplasty that is carried out under general anesthesia as well as under local anesthesia, and they added that there are no major changes in care compared to tympanoplasty care after general anesthesia. Discussion: The interviewed medical professionals have the knowledge they need for high-quality and safe treatment of the patient after tympanoplasty, while at the same time they are aware of the complications that can happen to the patient and the interventions to prevent them.
