Title:Uporaba podatkovne analitike in orodja Orange za optimizacijo časovne obremenitve CT aparata v urgentnem centru

Abstract:V sodobnem zdravstvu je razumevanje in ustrezna uporaba podatkov za izboljšanje kakovosti oskrbe pacientov, optimizacijo delovnih procesov in podporo odločitvenim procesom ključnega pomena. Z analizo podatkov, ki zajema opisne, razlagalne, napovedne in predpisovalne metode, lahko učinkovito napovedujemo in načrtujemo medicinske preiskave. Uporaba orodja Orange omogoča analizo vzorcev, ki vplivajo na obremenitev CT aparata v urgentnem centru in njegovo razpoložljivost za planirane preiskave. Ta pristop omogoča razumevanje preteklih podatkov in predvidevanje prihodnjih obremenitev, kar izboljšuje učinkovitost radiološkega oddelka. Analiza podatkov v empiričnem delu magistrskega dela razkriva, kako lahko prilagoditve urnikov in optimizacija kadrovskih virov izboljša čakalne čase za planirane preiskave. Predlagani ukrepi vključujejo izboljšave pri optimizaciji urnikov in razporeditvi osebja, uporabo analitičnih orodij za sprotno spremljanje in napovedovanje obremenitev CT aparata, izboljšanje komunikacije s pacienti in povečanje sodelovanja med oddelki. S tem prispevamo tako k teoretičnim spoznanjem kot tudi k praktičnim izboljšavam v delovanju zdravstvenih ustanov.

Title:Utilizing Data Analytics and the Orange Tool for Optimizing CT Scanner Time Burden in Emergency Center
Abstract:In modern healthcare, understanding and properly using data is crucial for improving the quality of patient care, optimizing work processes, and supporting decision-making processes. Data analysis, which includes descriptive, explanatory, predictive, and prescriptive methods, allows us to effectively forecast and plan medical examinations. Using the Orange tool, we analyze patterns that affect the workload of the CT scanner in the emergency center and its availability for scheduled examinations. This approach allows us to understand past data and anticipate future loads, thereby improving the efficiency of the radiology department. Analysis of data in the empirical part of the master’s thesis reveals how adjustments of schedules and optimization of human resources can improve waiting times for planned examinations. Suggested measures include improvements in schedule optimization and staff allocation, the use of analytical tools for ongoing monitoring and forecasting of CT scanner loads, enhancing communication with patients, and increasing collaboration between departments. Thus, we contribute both to theoretical knowledge and to practical improvements in the operation of healthcare institutions.
