Abstract:Poškodbe zadnje stegenske mišice (ZSM) so pogoste v športih, ki vključujejo tek in hitre gibe, zlasti v atletiki in nogometu. Kljub napredku v rehabilitacijskih tehnikah so stopnje teh poškodb še vedno visoke. MRI ni vedno zanesljiv kazalnik za vrnitev k športu, zato so funkcionalni testi in simptomi ključni pri ocenjevanju pripravljenosti športnikov. Potrebne so nadaljnje raziskave za razvoj učinkovitih rehabilitacijskih protokolov, ki bodo upoštevali specifične potrebe športnikov in vrsto poškodbe ter omogočili hitrejšo in varnejšo vrnitev k športnim dejavnostim.

Title:The effectiveness of phyisiotherapeutic treatment in hamstring injuries
Abstract:Hamstring injuries (HSI) are common in sports that involve running and rapid movements, particularly in athletics and football. Despite advances in rehabilitation techniques, the incidence of these injuries remains high. Research has shown that the early introduction of stretching exercises does not accelerate return to sport nor reduce the risk of reinjury. More effective are programs that include progressive agility and core stabilization exercises. Injuries involving the central tendon require longer recovery periods, which is crucial in rehabilitation planning. MRI is not always a reliable indicator for return to sport, making functional tests and symptoms essential in assessing an athlete's readiness. Further research is needed to develop effective rehabilitation protocols that account for the specific needs of athletes and the type of injury, facilitating a faster and safer return to sporting activities.
Keywords:Physiotherapy, rehabilitation, hamstring, hamstring injury.
