Abstract:Diplomska naloga proučuje ključne procese pri razvoju video iger, s poudarkom na izzivih samostojnih razvijalcev. Obravnava ustvarjanje igralnega cikla, izbiro žanra in ciljno občinstvo, vključevanje igralcev v razvoj ter pripravo na izdajo in trženje. Uporabljene metode vključujejo analizo literature, ankete in intervjuje z razvijalci ter primerjavo razvojnih strategij. Ugotovitve poudarjajo pomen pravilne opredelitve ciljne skupine, zgodnjega vključevanja igralcev in uravnoteženega oblikovanja izkušnje. Naloga ponuja praktične smernice za uspešen vstop v industrijo video iger.

Abstract:The thesis examines the key processes in video game development, with a focus on the challenges of independent developers. It addresses the creation of a chosen cycle, game genre and target audience, player involvement in development, and preparation for release and marketing. The methods used include literature analysis, surveys and interviews with developers, and a comparison of development strategies. The findings highlight the importance of correctly defining the target group, early player involvement, and balanced experience design. The thesis offers practical guidelines for a successful entry into the video game industry.
