Funkcionalni ocenjevalni instrumenti pogosto vključujejo vidike grobe motorike (sedenje, stoja, hoja) in fine motorike (doseganj, prijemanje). Dobro počutje, samostojnost, integracija v skupnost in sodelovanje so osnovni cilji, h katerim moramo stremeti.

Title:THE AFFECTS OF EXERCISE INTERVENTIONS ANDMULTIDISCIPLINARY APPROACH ON CHILDREN WITHCEREBRAL PALSY
Abstract:CP is the most common cause of physical disability in children. It is a neurological disorder that severely affects movement and posture and is caused by damage to the developing brain, such as intracranial haemorrhage or lack of oxygen to the brain. In children with CP, parents observe failure to reach developmental milestones such as mastering a roll or crawling, the diagnosis is then confirmed by MRI. To determine the form of CP and the degree of impairment, there is a wide range of assessment tools that can be used for all neurological and developmental disorders, as well as assessment tools specific to CP. Functional assessment instruments often include aspects of gross motor skills (sitting, standing, walking) and fine motor skills (reaching, grasping). Since CP is incurable, it is the task of the therapeutic team to ensure that the child achieves and maintains the desired physical, sensory, psychological and social function through rehabilitation. Depending on the stage, the therapeutic treatment gives the child the tools to live as successfully and independently as possible. Therapeutic programmes focusing on specific tasks of daily living and the achievement of specific goals, set in the everyday environment, show the best results for the child to achieve functionality. For children with higher levels of impairment who are not walking, it is necessary to choose other exercise media (water or equine therapy) or adaptations to existing exercise (treadmill training with weight support). Not every exercise programme is suitable for all children with CP, so the exercise programme should be tailored to the individual's abilities and goals. Communication between the family and the therapy group should be open, as parents report on their child's progress or possible problems and concerns. Well-being, independence, integration into the community and participation are the basic goals to strive for.
