Abstract:Izpah pogačice sodi med pogostejše poškodbe kolenskega sklepa in lahko ob neustreznem zdravljenju vodi do kronične nestabilnosti, bolečin ter zmanjšane funkcionalnosti sklepa.

Abstract:Patellar dislocation is among more common injuries of the knee joint and, if not treated appropriately, can lead to chronic instability, pain, and reduced joint functionality. The purpose of this thesis was to examine the course of physiotherapeutic rehabilitation after patellar dislocation and to compare the effectiveness of conservative and surgical treatment approaches. The study aimed to determine which physiotherapy procedures are most frequently used and which of them most effectively contribute to restoring a stable and functional knee. A review of professional literature revealed that physiotherapy plays a key role in both treatment approaches, as it helps reduce pain, improve joint mobility and muscle strength, and prevent recurrent dislocations. An effective rehabilitation program includes gradual loading, strengthening exercises for the quadriceps, proprioceptive training, stretching, and functional exercises. Despite numerous studies, unified guidelines for the optimal course of rehabilitation have not yet been established, which highlights the need for an individually tailored approach that considers the patient’s characteristics and the type of surgical intervention performed. This thesis contributes to a better understanding of modern physiotherapeutic approaches following patellar dislocation and emphasizes the importance of comprehensive, professionally guided rehabilitation for ensuring long-term knee stability.
