Abstract:Z namenom omejitve širjenja okužb zaradi pandemije COVID-19 so se zaprle šole, kar je vplivalo na izobraževalni proces in na vse vpletene. V teoretičnem delu smo opisali vlogo svetovalne službe v osnovni šoli, profile svetovalne službe ter svetovalne delavce – psihologe, pedagoge, socialne delavce, socialne pedagoge in specialne pedagoge – defektologe.

Abstract:In order to limit the spread of infections during the COVID-19 pandemic schools were closed, which affected the education process and all those involved. The school counselling service is a vital link in the education process and helps to improve the school's quality by solving problems in a different way. The school counselling service has a wide scope and is of great importance. The diploma thesis begins with an introduction that is followed by the theoretical section. The latter describes the role of the counselling service in primary school, the counselling service profiles, and counsellors – psychologists, pedagogues, social workers, social pedagogues and special education teachers. This is followed by the subchapter “Impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the work regime in schools in 2020”. The empirical section presents interviews conducted with five social workers from the primary schools OsnovnašolaTonetaOkrogarjaTrbovlje, Osnovnašola Ivana KavčičaŠmartnopriLitiji and Osnovnašola Ivana Cankarja. The interviews were recorded on Skype and then transcribed verbatim. The social workers were interviewed between 23 April 2021 and 14 May 2021. The head teacher organized the work of the social worker. Some social workers worked at the school and some worked from home. They were trained to use Microsoft Teams and the related online tools. They were not given any special instructions on how to work with children during the COVID-19 pandemic, but they did have weekly coordination meetings with the management, other colleagues and teachers. The social workers have noticed an increased number of children who experienced different types of distress.
