Abstract:Diplomska naloga daje vpogled tuje in domače literature ter predstavitev študij. Otroke spodbuja k sodelovanju in prispeva k povezovanju vzgojiteljev z njimi.

Abstract:The diploma thesis offers an insight into foreign and domestic literature and presents the study. The theoretical part contains a description of psychotherapeutic approaches, with an emphasis on reality therapy, while the empirical part is based on the study of domestic and foreign literature. After the literature review, we made a PRIZMA Flow Diagram and presented the results by codes and categories. Finally, we answered the proposed research questions in the discussion. A descriptive research method with a review of domestic and foreign literature was used. We discovered that reality therapy can be used on any individual who shows the willingness and ability to understand its principles and wants to change. So, in reality, reality therapy is accessible to everyone. Based on the reviewed articles, we find that reality therapy is effective in treating mental health problems such as anxiety, depression, addiction, dissatisfaction with different areas of life, etc., in treating drug-addicted sex offenders and autoimmune diseases, among consultees with chronic diseases and also in practice with other underlying issues. Interestingly, the implementation of choice theory in the preschool period develops problem-solving skills, invites children to participate, strengthens their sense of community, builds mutual respect, and exploits the child's regular human need for strength and control. Providing such young children with the opportunity to use their voices, make decisions and solve problems, encourages them to participate and contributes to establishing a stronger connection with their educators.
